Description of the event
Solingen, Hoyerswerda, Eberswalde, Mölln, Halle. Diese Orte werden genannt, wenn es um rechtsextremistische Anschläge nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg geht. Doch bis heute ist es weitgehend unbekannt, dass sich der erste rassistisch motivierte Brandanschlag in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Schwandorf ereignet hat. Am 17. Dezember 1988 steckte der stadtbekannte Neonazi Josef Saller das Habermeier-Haus in Brand. Vor Gericht lieferte er den Grund: Er hasste eben Ausländer. Vier Menschen starben: Osman Can (50), Fatma Can (43), Mehmet Can (12), Jürgen Hübener (47). Wir wollen nicht wegschauen. Wir wollen nicht vergessen. Wir müssen erinnern.
