Große Inspiration findet Lorenz Kellhuber auch immer wieder im Great American Songbook, das eine perfekte Basis für ausschweifende Improvisationen liefern. Mit welch Erfindungsreichtum, Virtuosität und Verständnis für die Geschichte des Jazz Lorenz Kellhuber eben diesen Jazz Standards begegnet, kann man in seinem Projekt „Standard Experience“ erleben. Mit Joe Sanders am Bass und Jesse Simpson an den Drums hat Kellhuber nun zwei der profiliertesten Musiker der amerikanischen Jazzszene eingeladen. Gemeinsam zelebrieren sie die Fusion von drei musikalischen Seelen auf höchstem Niveau und lassen das Great American Songbook in neuem Glanz erstrahlen.
