Description of the event

Emma Rawicz, der „Rising Star“ des britischen Jazzhimmels, funkelt auch in Bayreuth! Die Saxophonistin gewann zahlreiche beeindruckende Auszeichnungen, spielte auf bedeutenden Festivals, gründete eine Bigband und leitete eine UK-Tour mit fast 20 Städten.

Ihre Leidenschaft für die Musik entdeckte sie mit sieben Jahren: zuerst komponierte sie Stücke für Violine und Klavier, später fand sie zum Saxophon. An der Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester und der Royal Academy of Music in London verfeinerte sie ihre Fähigkeiten.

2022 veröffentlichte sie ihr Debütalbum „Incantation“, 2023 folgte „Chroma“ – ein Spiegel ihrer synästhetischen Wahrnehmung von Musik in Farben. Emma mixt afro-kubanische Grooves mit modernem Jazz und Funk. Freut euch auf diese vielversprechende Jazzkünstlerin!
