Description of the event

Rom, 62 n. Chr. Kaiser Nero gilt als einer der grausamsten Tyrannen, nur in den Armen der schönen und machthungrigen Poppea wird er zerbrechlich. Poppea verfolgt nur ein Ziel: Um jeden Preis will sie Kaiserin von Rom werden. Nero verstößt ihretwegen seine Gattin Ottavia und befiehlt dem Philosophen Seneca, der an Neros Vernunft appelliert, den Selbstmord. Lust, Machtgier, Intrigen, Grausamkeit und Tod hinterlassen eine blutige Spur auf dem Weg in die neue Ehe.
