Description of the event

Programmänderung wegen Erkrankung der Cellistin Dr. Tess Remy-Schumacher

Dr. David Forbat, in London/GB geboren, ist Professor für Klavier an der University of Central Oklahoma, wo er seit 2005 unterrichtet. Er hat einen DMA in Piano performance vom Peabody Conservatory of Music, wo er bei Ann Schein studierte. Weitere Hauptlehrer waren John Perry, Claude Frank und Frank Weinstock.
Seine preisgekrönte Klavier-/Tanzkooperation mit Robyn Pasternack (UCO-Ballettprofessorin und Choreografin) umfasst Werke von Grieg, Poulenc und Chopin. Neben Solo- und Gemeinschaftsprojekten präsentierte Forbat Vortragsprogramme zu Werken von Schumanns Carnaval op. 9 zu Ravels Miroirs. Darüber hinaus gab er Konzerte und unterrichtete Meisterkurse an mehreren Universitäten und Konservatorien in China.
