Description of the event

Orgelkonzert mit Domorganist Prof. Winfried Bönig (Köln).
Werke von Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles-Marie Widor, Naji Hakim u.a.
Seine künstlerische Tätigkeit begann Winfried Bönig in Memmingen, wo er von 1984 bis 1998 als Organist und Dirigent an der dortigen Hauptkirche St. Josef wirkte. Unter anderem spielte Bönig einen Zyklus der gesamten Orgelwerke Bachs in fünfzehn Konzerten. Für seine musikalische Arbeit wurde ihm 1995 der Kulturpreis der Stadt Memmingen verliehen. Winfried Bönig wurde 2001 zum Domorganisten in Köln berufen und leitet als Professor für künstlerisches Orgelspiel und Improvisation seit 1998 den Studiengang "Katholische Kirchenmusik" an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
