Description of the event
Nils Kugelmann wird als „Senkrechtstarter der deutschen Jazz-Szene“ gehandelt. Warum, das hört man unter anderem in seinen Kompositionen auf seinem Debutalbum „Stormy Beauty“: Die neun Stücke von Kugelmann sind abwechslungsreich und voller Leidenschaft. Beim Rhythmus kann man schon von „genial“ sprechen; und wie gut die drei Münchner technisch sind, beweisen sie immer wieder aufs Neue. Denn die Kompositionen erfordern Wachsamkeit und eine absolute Beherrschung der Instrumente – die perfekt bewiesen wird.
