Description of the event
Fast 200 Jahre lang war Zerbst in der Nähe von Magdeburg die Residenz des Fürstentums Anhalt-Zerbst, und das durchaus mit internationalem Einfluss. Der berühmteste Kapellmeister am Hof - und das mehr als 36 Jahre lang - war der Barockkomponist Johann Friedrich Fasch. Seine Musik steht im Mittelpunkt der Reichssaalmatinee mit dem in Brügge beheimateten Barockorchester Musica Gloria. Die durchweg sehr jungen Musiker sind bereits mehrfach preisgekrönt. Ihr Programm mit dem Titel Musik am Hof in Zerbst präsentiert die große Bandbreite des Zerbster Hofkapellmeisters in ihrer ganzen Vielfalt: Ouvertüre, Concerto, Sonata, Präludium, Fuge. Sehr sinnvoll werden diese Stücke mit Werken von berühmten Zeitgenossen wie Georg Philipp Telemann und Johann Sebastian Bach in Beziehung gesetzt.
