Description of the event

Eine Lukaspassion von Bach? Rudolf Kelber, von 1982-2015 Kantor an der Hamburger Hauptkirche St. Jakobi, hat eine Lukaspassion zusammengestellt, wie sie von Bach komponiert worden sein könnte. Dazu hat er fast ausschließlich Originalkompositionen Bachs aus dessen umfangreichen Kantatenwerk herangezogen. Dieser sogenannten Pasticcio-Technik hat sich bereits Bach selbst u.a. bei seinem Weihnachtsoratorium bedient. Erstmals aufgeführt 2012 in Hamburg, erklingt in Bayreuth nun eine Neufassung von 2024. Ausführende sind Marie-Sophie Pollak (Sopran), Yvonne Berg (Alt), Reiner Geißdörfer (Tenor), Michael Kranebitter (Bass) die Stadtkantorei Bayreuth und die Neue Nürnberger Ratsmusik auf historischen Instrumenten. Die Leitung hat KMD Michael Dorn.
