Description of the event
Gospels und Spirituals sind die „Fracht“ des Gospel-Express. Seit 1987 bringt das 8-köpfige Ensemble den Rhythmus und die Seele des Gospel auf die Bühne. „Unplugged“, dafür mit viel Herz und Leidenschaft, werden die Zuhörenden mitgenommen und erleben, wie der Funke überspringt und Musik die Menschen verbindet. Musikalisch hat sich Gospel Express beständig weiterentwickelt, geblieben ist die „Mission“: Gospelsongs und Spirituals, die geistliche Musik der Afroamerikaner also, in der einerseits Trauer und unermessliches Leiden, aber auch unerschütterliches Gottvertrauen und überschäumende Lebensfreude zum Ausdruck kommen.
