Description of the event
„Jazz bedeutet für mich Freiheit und er macht mich glücklich“, sagt die in Seoul geborene Pianistin Gee Hye Lee und leitet seit 2009 ihr eigenes Klavier Trio. Der Wechsel von der Klassik zum Jazz, der Umzug nach Deutschland, das Musik- Studium in Stuttgart und Boston beeinflussen nicht nur Gee Hye Lees Kompositionen sondern auch ihr neues internationales Projekt „Parangsae“ mit der koreanischen Sängerin Song Yi Jeon. Die Verbindung zwischen ihrer asiatischen und europäischen Heimat möchte sie nun in einem neuen musikalischen Programm zum Ausdruck bringen. Das Repertoire beinhaltet arrangierte koreanische Kinder- und Volkslieder sowie kreative und zeitgenössische Jazz-Kompositionen.
