Description of the event

Lukas DeRungs – Jazzpianist, Komponist, Arrangeur. Dirigent, Beatboxer. Gibt es etwas, das er nicht kann? Seine Musik sprengt Grenzen: Genres, Länder, Schubladen. Mit »Kosmos Suite« (nominiert für den Deutschen Jazzpreis 2023) ließ er bereits instrumentalen Jazz und die menschliche Stimme zu einer Einheit verschmelzen.

Jetzt zelebriert er das Hier und Jetzt – auf »Wake«. Zusammen mit Sängerin Immy Churchill, Gitarrist Karim Saber, Bassist Jan Dittmann und Drummer Jonas Esser entsteht ein Sound, der überrascht und mitreißt – intensiv, unerwartet, lebendig.
