Description of the event
Wer Kit Downes beim Pijazzo 2023 am Flügel erlebt hat, weiß: Auf den kann man sich richtig freuen. Im Trio – mit Jonas Burgwinkel an den Drums und Reinier Bass an der Gitarre – sattelt Kit auf eines der Kult-Instrumente der Pop-, Rock- und Jazzmusik um: die Hammond-Orgel. Eigentlich ein Klassiker, so ein Orgel-Trio. Deadeye macht was Neues draus: Macht euch auf einen wilden Ritt gefasst, zwischen Genres und Epochen, zwischen Melodien und Rhythmen, zwischen komponierten Lines und unbändigem Improvisieren.
