Description of the event

Die Benoit Martiny Band oder BMB ist eine Jazz-Rock-Band, die im Sommer 2004 irgendwo zwischen einer Garage in Rameldange und den Straßen von Rotterdam gegründet wurde.

Die Gruppe besteht aus Benoit Martiny am Schlagzeug, Sandor Kem am Bass, Jasper van Damme am Alt-Saxophon Joao Driessen am Tenor-Saxophon und Frank Jonas an der Gitarre. Ihr Stil basiert auf einer Vielzahl von Einflüssen, hauptsächlich aus dem Jazz, Blues, Psychedelia und Rock.

Die Musik wird von Benoit Martiny selbst geschrieben und ihr Sound ist unter anderem von der Musik von Jimi Hendrix, Sun Ra, Soft Machine, Miles Davis, Nirvana, Charles Mingus, Frank Zappa und Led Zeppelin inspiriert.
