Description of the event

Indische klassische Musik ist eine Form improvisierter Musik mit einem introspektiven und dennoch ekstatischen Aspekt. Die Musik basiert auf verschiedenen Modi mit bestimmter Struktur und Grammatik, die Ragas genannt werden, um unterschiedliche Emotionen auszudrücken. Ein einzigartiger Aspekt dieser Musik ist die Verwendung aller Frequenzen zwischen den Noten in einer Oktave in Form von Bends und Glides. Für den Zuhörer wie auch für den Interpreten ist es ein Prozess der inneren Erforschung und der Suche nach einer Verbindung zu sich selbst.
Sitarist Hindol Deb und Shankh Lahiri an der Tabla erforschen die verborgenen Winkel des Geistes und nehmen den Zuhörer mit auf eine Reise der Selbsterforschung.
