Description of the event

»Airs de Cour«, Lieder zur Lautenbegleitung, waren im 17. Jahrhundert in Frankreich äußerst beliebt. Besonders unter Ludwig XIII. wurden diese Lieder am Hof zur Unterhaltung der Gesellschaft gern musiziert. Das Konzertprogramm »Les Harlequins« stellt Figuren der Commedia dell’arte vor: wie den Melancholischen, den Träumer, den Liebenden oder den Glücklichen. Die Lieder besingen dabei eine ganze Palette von Affekten amouröser Leidenschaft mit einer ausgesprochenen Vorliebe für naturalistische Anspielungen und bieten zudem ein musikalisches Feld für üppige vokale und instrumentale Ornamentierung. Französisches Hofleben im Schloss Weißenbrunn. Voilà!
